Tatch - Journeyman Signs, Leith, Edinburgh
Often on the road with his work, Tatch's business, Journeyman Signs offers a range of signwriting services, including painted windows, signboards, golden windows, wall signs, shop fronts, and mirror work.. If you're not admiring his work on Edinburgh's street corners, you might catch a glimpse of his work van driving by as he journeys to his various commissions dotted around the city.
Liane Barker - Barker Signs & Mastering the Art of Signwriting, Brisbane, Australia
Liane began her signwriting career in 1980 as one of Queensland’s few female apprentices, earning the prestigious Top Apprentice award in 1982. Trained in her father’s business, Barker Signs, she developed both the craftsmanship and business acumen that have sustained her 43-year career in traditional signwriting and design. Her skill and dedication have earned international recognition, including invitations to exhibit and teach at prestigious events in the U.S., U.K., and Europe. She has worked alongside many renowned signwriters and continues to teach traditional signwriting and gold leaf workshops locally and overseas. Liane specialises in traditional hand-painted signage, gold leaf window lettering, shopfronts, vehicle and boat signs, honour boards, murals, and custom commissions.

Do I need to have previous signwriting experience to attend?
Absolutely not! We will teach you step-by-step starting with how to use a signwriting brush, how to load with paint, how to construct the basic strokes necessary to create lettering as well as marking out and understanding proportion and scale to then mark out your own personalised panel.
