Hi, I’m Liane Barker, a Traditional signwriter with over 40 years of hands-on experience in Signwriting and Gold Leaf.
I began my journey in the trade in 1982 alongside my father at Barker Signs, a family business established in 1964 that’s still going strong today. Carrying on his legacy has been one of my greatest joys—and after decades on the brush, I still find magic
in every letter stroke.
Whether I’m teaching online or face-to-face, my goal is to share the skills, traditions, and techniques of this timeless craft in a way that’s clear, inspiring, and fun.
Whether you're just picking up a brush or looking to elevate your practice, I’m here to guide you with tried-and-true methods, gentle encouragement, and a deep love for the art of signwriting.
